Prayer to the Guru

༄༅། །གུ་རུའི་གསོལ་འདེབས།

A Supplication to the Guru

ཨོཾ་སྭ་སྟི་བི་ཛ་ཡནྟུ།

Oṃ svasti vijayantu.

རང་རིག་བླ་མ་པདྨ་འབྱུང་གནས་དང་། །

rangrig lama pema jungné dang

Guru of my innate awareness, Padmasambhava,

དབྱེར་མེད་དྲིན་ཅན་བླ་མ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་རྗེ། །

yermé drinchen lama chökyi jé

Indivisible from my own kind root master, the lord of the Dharma;

བདག་སོགས་འགྲོ་བ་འདྲེན་པའི་དེད་དཔོན་ཆེ། །

dak sok drowa drenpé depön ché

I supplicate you as a guide for all of us wandering in saṃsāra,

འདི་ཕྱི་བར་དོ་ཀུན་ཏུ་གསོལ་འདེབས་ན། །

di chi bardo küntu soldeb na

Pray lead us now, in the bardo and all future lives.

སྐྱེ་དང་ཚེ་རབས་ཕྲེང་བར་རྗེས་བཟུངས་ནས། །

kyé dang tserab trengwar jé zung né

Care for us in this life and in all lives to come.

རང་གཞན་དོན་གཉིས་འགྲུབ་པར་མཛད་དུ་གསོལ། །

rangzhen dön nyi drubpar dzé du sol

May we accomplish the dual benefit of ourselves and others.

ཅེས་པའང་ཁྲ་མགོ་སྐྱབས་མགོན་རིན་པོ་ཆེའི་ཞལ་སློབ་སྒྲུབ་བརྩོན་ཀརྨ་སྒྲུབ་རྒྱུད་ལེགས་བཤད་ཀྱི་གསུངས་ངོར། མཁན་མིང་གང་ཤར་དབང་པོས་སོ། །
