Mingyur Rinpoche Long-Life Prayer

༄༅། །ཡོངས་དགེ་མི་འགྱུར་རིན་པོ་ཆེའི་ཞབས་བརྟན་གསོལ་འདེབས།

Prayer for the Long Life of Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche

ཨོཾ་བདེ་ལེགས་སུ་གྱུར་ཅིག

om delek su gyur chik

Oṃ! May there be happiness and well-being!

རབ་འབྱམས་རྒྱལ་བའི་ཐུགས་བསྐྱེད་ལས་འཁྲུངས་པ། །

rabjam gyalwé tukkyé lé trungpa

Born from the aspirations of countless victorious buddhas,

སྙིགས་དུས་འགྲོ་བའི་མགོན་པོ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་རྗེ། །

nyikdü drowé gönpo chö kyi jé

The leader of beings in this degenerate age, the lord of Dharma,

གསང་ཆེན་བསྟན་པའི་མེས་པོ་བཀའ་དྲིན་ཅན། །

sangchen tenpé mepo kadrinchen

And kind patriarch of the great secret teachings

ཨོ་རྒྱན་སངས་རྒྱས་གཉིས་པས་དགེ་ལེགས་སྩོལ། །

orgyen sangye nyipé gelek tsol

Is Orgyen, the second Buddha: grant us virtue and auspiciousness!

ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་རྣམ་པར་རོལ་པ་མཐའ་ཡས་ཀྱང༌། །

khyö kyi nampar rolpa tayé kyang

Although your emanations are beyond limit,

ཡོང༵ས་ཀྱི་དགེ༵་བའི་བཤེས་གཉེན་ཡོངས་ཀྱི་མགོན། །

yong kyi gewe shényen yong kyi gön

You appear as the universal spiritual friend and the lord of all.

མི༵་འགྱུར༵་རྟག་པ་དམ་པའི་མཛོད་འཛིན་པ། །

mingyur takpa dampé dzö dzinpa

Keeper of the unchanging and everlasting spiritual treasures—

རྡོ༵་རྗེ༵་གསུམ་གྱི་ངོ་བོར་ཞབས་བརྟན་གསོལ། །

dorjé sum gyi ngowor zhabten sol

May your life remain secure as the essence of the three vajras!

འགྱུར་མེད་ཟབ་མོའི་ཐ་ཚིག་རིན་པོ་ཆེ། །

Precious statements, unchanging and profound—

ངེས་གསང་བསྟན་འཛིན་དམ་པ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་རྗེ། །

ngé sang tendzin dampa chö kyi jé

The definitive and secret teachings are held by this lord of Dharma,

རྨད་བྱུང་མཆོག་གི་སྤྲུལ་སྐུ་འགྲོ་བའི་མགོན། །

mejung chok gi tulku drowé gön

This marvellous and sublime nirmāṇakāya, and leader of beings,

རྡོ་རྗེ་གསུམ་གྱི་ངོ་བོར་ཞབས་བརྟན་གསོལ། །

dorjé sum gyi ngowor zhabten sol

May your life remain secure as the essence of the three vajras!

བསླུ་མེད་སྐྱབས་གནས་དཀོན་མཆོག་རིན་ཆེན་གསུམ། །

lumé kyabné könchok rinchen sum

By the power and truth of the unfailing objects of refuge—the three most precious jewels—

རྩ་གསུམ་དམ་ཅན་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་བདེན་སྟོབས་ཀྱིས། །

tsa sum damchen gyatsö den tob kyi

And also the Three Roots and infinite oath-bound protectors,

བླ་མའི་ཞབས་པད་ཡུན་དུ་བརྟན་པ་དང༌། །

lamé zhabpé yündu tenpa dang

May this teacher’s life remain secure long into the future,

མཛད་འཕྲིན་ཕྱོགས་མཐར་ཁྱབ་ཅིང་རྒྱས་གྱུར་ཅིག །

dzetrin chok tar khyab ching gyé gyur chik

And may his activity flourish and extend to the very limits of space!

ཡོངས་དགེ་མི་འགྱུར་རྡོ་རྗེ་མཆོག་གི་ཞབས་བརྟན་དུ་རྗེས་འཇུག་རྣམས་ནས་བསྐུལ་བའི་ངོར་༧ཏཱ་ཡི་སི་ཏུ་པས་སྨོན་པ་དེ་དེ་བཞིན་དུ་འགྲུབ་པར་གྱུར་ཅིག  །དགེ་ལེགས་འཕེལ།།

In response to the students who requested a long-life prayer for Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, Tai Situpa made this aspiration. May it be fulfilled! May virtue and goodness increase!
