Mipham Rinpoche gave this text in thirty-seven verses to the Third Dodrupchen Jigme Tenpe Nyima as a sealed scroll while they were both at Dzongsar Monastery. Although the precise date is unclear, it seems likely that this was in or around 1886. The text is a mixture of personal, often cryptic advice and prophecy.

Casket of Enlightened Mind, the Prophetic Guide for the Heart-Essence of the Vast Expanse

This prophetic guide of the Longchen Nyingtik was revealed during Jigme Lingpa's initial vision in which he flew to the Boudha stūpa in Nepal. The text recounts the history of Padmasambhava's entrustment of the treasure to the destined disciples, who would later emanate as Jigme Lingpa and his students, to reveal and propagate the Longchen Nyingtik. It also refers to key events in Jigme Lingpa's life and the physical and psychological attributes that identify him as the treasure revealer.

Liberation Upon Hearing: The History of the Great Jarung Kashor Stūpa

In this famous history of the sacred stūpa of Boudha, Guru Padmasambhava recounts the stūpa's origins. In response to a request from King Tri Songdeutsen, he tells how a humble poultry-woman first extracted a promise from the king and then built the stūpa together with her four sons, who were all later reborn as prominent figures in the introduction of Buddhism to Tibet. Padmasambhava also describes the benefits to be gained from circumambulating the stūpa and making offerings before it, and concludes with a series of prophecies concerning the stūpa's restoration.

The Clarifying Light: A Prophecy of the Future

from the Words of the Buddha

Jamyang Khyentse compiled this prophecy from the words of the Buddha. Before an audience that includes Ānanda and the future Buddha Maitreya, the Buddha tells how this text will appear from a meteorite and be disseminated by Avalokiteśvara. He also describes how a series of terrible events, including widespread disease, famine and warfare, will occur during the degenerate age, unless this text can be widely copied and recited as an antidote to such ills.
