༄༅། །རྟ་ཁྱུང་གི་བཟློག་བསྡུས།

Concise Averting Ritual for the Practice of Hayagrīva and Garuḍa¹

ཧཱུྃ། གདོད་ནས་རྣམ་དག་ཆོས་སྐུ་ཡུམ་ཆེན་མོའི། །

hung, döné namdak chöku yum chenmö

Hūṃ. From the palace of the three doors of liberation within the spacious expanse

མཁའ་དབྱིངས་རྣམ་ཐར་གསུམ་གྱི་གཞལ་ཡས་ནས། །

khaying namtar sum gyi zhalyé né

Of the Great Mother, the primordially pure dharmakāya,

མ་འགགས་རིག་གདངས་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཀློང་ཡངས་ནས། །

magak rikdang yeshe long yang né

Out of the vast wisdom expanse that is the unceasing radiance of awareness,

ལོངས་སྤྱོད་རྫོགས་སྐུ་རྟ་ཁྱུང་འབར་བའི་ལྷ། །

longchö dzok ku ta khyung barwé lha

Arise the saṃbhogakāya deities of the Blazing Hayagrīva and Garuḍa.

ཕྱི་ནང་གསང་བའི་ལྷ་ཚོགས་ཡོངས་ཤར་བ། །

chi nang sangwé lhatsok yong sharwa

These hosts of deities, outer, inner and secret,

གཉིས་སྣང་འཁོར་བའི་དགྲ་གདོན་བཟློག་པའི་ཕྱིར། །

nyinang khorwé dra dön dokpé chir

Arise in order to avert the enemies and demons of saṃsāra and dualistic perception.

གར་དགུའི་ཉམས་བརྒྱས་མཁའ་ལ་འཇའ་སྣང་བཞིན། །

gar gü nyam gyé kha la ja nang zhin

With manifold expressions of the nine demeanours, they appear like rainbows in the sky.

དེ་རིང་སྔགས་འཆང་བདག་གི་གྲོགས་ལ་བཞེངས། །

dering ngakchang dak gi drok la zheng

Now, on this day, to assist us, adepts of mantra, rise up!

དགྲ་བགེགས་ཤ་ཁྲག་གཏོར་མ་འདི་རོལ་ལ། །

dragek sha trak torma di rol la

Enjoy this torma of enemies and obstructing forces, flesh and blood,

རྣལ་འབྱོར་བདག་ཅག་ཡོན་མཆོད་འཁོར་བཅས་ཀྱི། །

naljor dakchak yönchö khor ché kyi

And for all of us practitioners, our patrons and retinue,

སེམས་དང་སེམས་བྱུང་རྒྱུ་འབྲས་འཆོལ་བ་ལས། །

sem dang semjung gyundré cholwa lé

Avert everything brought about when the causality of mind and mental states goes awry:

བྱུང་བའི་ནད་གདོན་ཆག་ཆེ་ཉམ་ང་དང་། །

jungwé nedön chak ché nyam nga dang

Disease, demonic influences, tragedies, disasters,

ཕྱི་ནང་འབྱུང་བ་དགྲ་གཤེད་འཁྲུགས་པའི་རྐྱེན། །

chinang jungwa dra shé trukpé kyen

Hostility based on turmoil in the outer and inner elements,

འཇིགས་པ་ཆེན་པོ་བརྒྱད་དང་བཅུ་དྲུག་དང་། །

jikpa chenpo gyé dang chudruk dang

The eight great and sixteen lesser dangers,

བྱད་ཕུར་རྒོད་གཏོང་ཐན་ལྟས་ངན་པ་ཀུན། །

jepur gö tong ten té ngenpa kün

Dagger sorcery, evil curses and bad omens—

བཟློག་ཅིང་བསྒྱུར་བའི་འཕྲིན་ལས་མཛད་དུ་གསོལ། ། །

dok ching gyurwé trinlé dzé du sol

Please carry out your activity of averting them all!

ཞེས་པའང་གཞོན་ནུ་ཡེ་ཤེས་རྡོ་རྗེས་སོ། ། །
