Homage to the Three Jewels!

སརྦ་ཏ་ཐཱ་ག་ཏ་ཧྲྀ་ད་ཡ་ཨ་ནུ་ག་ཏེ༔ ཨོཾ་ཀུ་རུཾ་གི་ནི་སྭཱ་ཧཱ༔

sarva tathagata hridaya anu gaté om ku rum gi ni soha

sarva-tathāgata-hṛdayānu-gate oṃ ku ruṃ gi ni svāhā ||

ལན་གཅིག་བརྗོད་པས་བསྐལ་པ་འབུམ་ཕྲག་སྟོང་དུ་བསགས་པའི་སྒྲིབ་པ་ཡང་མ་ལུས་པ་ཟད་པར་འགྱུར་རོ༔

Reciting this once will remove all obscurations accumulated throughout one hundred million eons.

དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་སྙིང་པོ་ཞེས་བྱ་བའི་གཟུངས་རྫོགས་སོ༔

This concludes the dhāraṇī The Heart Essence of All Tathāgatas.

This is equal to reciting The Condensed Noble Prajñāpāramitā.

In Sanskrit: ārya-mañjuśrī-tantra-garbha

བོད་སྐད་དུ༔ འཕགས་པ་འཇམ་དཔལ་གྱི་རྒྱུད་ཀྱི་ཡང་སྙིང༔

འཇམ་དཔལ་གཞོན་ནུར་གྱུར་པ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ༔

Homage to Mañjuśrī the Youthful!

འདི་ལྟར་སངས་རྒྱས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས༔

di tar sangyé chomden dé

In this way, to the Awakened One, the transcendent Lord,

ཡེ་ཤེས་སྐུ་སྟེ་རང་བྱུང་བ༔

yeshé ku té rangjungwa

The wisdom kāya, spontaneously arisen,

ཡེ་ཤེས་མིག་གཅིག་དྲི་མ་མེད༔

yeshé mik chik drima mé

The single eye of wisdom, entirely unobscured,

ཡེ་ཤེས་སྣང་བ་ལམ་མེ་བ༔

yeshé nangwa lam mé wa

The light of wisdom, forever shining brightly,

ཨ་ར་པ་ཙ་ན་ཡ་ཏེ་ན་མ༔

a ra pa tsa na ya té na ma

arapacanāya te namaḥ ||

ཡེ་ཤེས་སྐུ་ཉིད་ཁྱོད་ལ་འདུད༔

yeshé ku nyi khyö la dü

To you, the very embodiment of wisdom, I bow.

རྫོགས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀུན་གྱིས་བཤད༔

dzokpé sangyé kün gyi shé

Thus it is explained by all the perfect buddhas.

བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་འཇམ་དཔལ་ཡེ་ཤེས་སེམས་པའི་དོན་དམ་པའི་མཚན་ཡང་དག་པར་བརྗོད་པའི་སྙིང་པོ་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་ཤཱཀྱ་ཐུབ་པའི་ཞལ་ནས་གསུངས་པ་ཟླ་བ་གཅིག་གིས་གྲུབ་པ་རྫོགས་སོ༔

This concludes this teaching, spoken by the transcendent lord Śākyamuni through which accomplishment can be attained in a single month: the Essence of the Perfect Recitation of the Names of the Wisdom Being, the Transcendent Lord Mañjuśrī.

ན་མཿས་མནྟ་བྷ་དྲཱ་ཡ༔ བོ་དྷི་སཏྭཱ་ཡ༔ མ་ཧཱ་སཏྭཱ་ཡ༔ མ་ཧཱ་ཀཱ་རུ་ཎི་ཀཱ་ཡ༔ ཏདྱ་ཐཱ༔ ཨོཾ་ན་མོ་བྷ་ར་བྷ་ར་སཏྭཱ་ཡ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ༔

namah samanta bhadra ya bodhi sata ya maha sata ya maha karu nika ya tadya ta om namo bhara bhara sata ya saha

namaḥ samanta-bhadrāya bodhi-sattvāya mahā-sattvāya mahā-karuṇīkāya | tadyathā | oṃ namo bhara bhara sattvāya svāhā ||

ལན་གསུམ་བརྗོད་ན་མཚམས་མེད་པ་ལྔའི་སྡིག་པ་འདག་པར་འགྱུར་རོ༔

If you recite this three times, the five misdeeds of immediate retribution will be purified.

བཀའ་འགྱུར་རོ་ཅོག་གི་གཟུངས་བསྡུས་པའི་སྙིང་པོ་རྫོགས་སོ༔

This concludes The Dhāraṇīs Which Encapsulate the Essence of the Collected Words of the Buddha.

chomdendé deshin shekpa drachompa yangdakpar dzokpé sangyé rinchen ö kyi gyalpo mé ö rap tu selwa la chaktsal lo

Homage to the Blessed One, the Tathāgata, the Arhat, the complete and perfect Buddha, Bright Flaming King of Dazzling Jewels!

ཞེས་བརྗོད་པས་སྲོག་བཅད་པའི་སྡིག་པ་འདག་གོ༔

Reciting this will purify the misdeeds of killing.

 

བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་དགྲ་བཅོམ་པ་ཡང་དག་པར་རྫོགས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་མེ་ཏོག་དབང་གི་སྟོབས་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ༔

chomdendé deshin shekpa drachompa yangdakpar dzokpé sangyé rinpoché metok wang gi top la chaktsal lo

Homage to the Blessed One, the Tathāgata, the Arhat, the complete and perfect Buddha, Jewel Flower, Strength of Power.

མི་ཚངས་པར་སྤྱད་པའི་སྡིག་པ་འདག་གོ༔

Reciting this will purify misdeeds of sexual misconduct.

 

བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་དགྲ་བཅོམ་པ་ཡང་དག་པར་རྫོགས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས་ཟླ་འོད་སྐྱབས་གནས་དམ་པ་དགྲ་ལས་རྣམ་པར་རྒྱལ་བ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ༔

chomdendé deshin shekpa drachompa yangdakpar dzokpé sangyé da’ö kyapné dampa dralé nampar gyalwa la chaktsal lo

Homage the Blessed One, the Tathāgata, the Arhat, the complete and perfect Buddha, Moonlight Sublime Refuge, Conqueror of Foes.

མནའ་ཐོན་པའི་སྡིག་པ་འདག་སྟེ་ཚེ་འཕེལ་ལོ༔

Reciting this will purify misdeeds of swearing and increase lifespan.

 

བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་དགྲ་བཅོམ་པ་ཡང་དག་པར་རྫོགས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས་རྡོ་རྗེ་རབ་ཏུ་བརྟན་ཅིང་རབ་ཏུ་དུལ་བ་ཕ་རོལ་གྱི་སྟོབས་རབ་ཏུ་འཇོམས་པ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ༔

chomdendé deshin shekpa drachompa yangdakpar dzokpé sangyé dorjé rap tu ten ching rap tu dülwa parol gyi top rap tu jompa la chaktsal lo

Homage to the Blessed One, the Tathāgata, the Arhat, the complete and perfect Buddha, Most Firm and Tame Vajra, Vanquisher of Opposing Forces.

ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་འཆལ་བའི་སྡིག་པ་འདག་གོ༔

Reciting this will purify misdeeds of improper discipline.

 

བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་དགྲ་བཅོམ་པ་ཡང་དག་པར་རྫོགས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས་རྣམ་པར་བརྩེགས་པ་བྱེ་བ་ཕྲག་བརྒྱའི་གངྒཱའི་ཀླུང་གི་བྱེ་མ་སྙེད་ཀྱི་གྲངས་དང་མཉམ་པ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ༔

Homage to the Blessed One, the Tathāgata, the Arhat, the complete and perfect Buddha, Equal to the Number of Stacked Grains of Sand in One Hundred Million Ganga Rivers.

བཀའ་འགྱུར་ཆེན་པོ་ཀློག་པའི་དགེ་བ་དང་མཉམ་མོ༔

Reciting this is equal in merit to reading the Great Kangyur, the Collected Words of the Buddha.

ཚོང་ཁེ་སྤོགས་བྱས་པའི་སྡིག་པ་འདག་པར་འགྱུར་རོ༔

Reciting this will purify misdeeds of engaging in business.

 

མདོར་ན་དམ་པའི་ཆོས་སྤངས་པ་དང༔ དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པའི་སྐུ་ལ་ངན་སེམས་ཀྱིས་ཁྲག་ཕྱུང་བ་དང༔ ཕ་མ་ལ་མི་འཚམ་པའི་ལས་བགྱིས་པ་དང༔ འདོད་ལོག་སྤྱད་པ་དང༔ དད་ཟས་འཚལ་བ་དང༔ གསུང་རབ་ཀྱི་གླུད་ཟོས་པ་སོགས༔ སྡིག་པའི་ལས་བགྱིས་པ་དེ་དག་ཐམས་ཅད་སངས་རྒྱས་སྟོང་གི་སྤྱན་སྔར་བཤགས་ཀྱང་སྡིག་པ་འདག་པར་མ་གསུངས་ཏེ༔ གཟུངས་འདི་དང་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་མཚན་འདི་རྣམས་བྲིས་ཀློག་བྱས་པས་སྡིག་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་བཤགས་ནས༔ སྒྲིབ་པ་མ་ལུས་པ་འདག་པར་འགྱུར་རོ༔

In brief, even if one confesses before a thousand buddhas such karmic misdeeds as giving up the holy Dharma, drawing blood from the Buddha’s body out of ill will, disrespecting one’s parents, acting out of perverted desire, misusing food offered out of faith, or profiting from the stolen Words of the Buddha it has not been taught that they will be purified; yet, if one confesses the sum of one’s misdeeds by writing and reading these dhāraṇīs and names of the buddhas, all obscurations without exception will be purified.

མ་ཧཱ་གུ་རུ་པདྨ་འབྱུང་གནས་ལྷོ་ནུབ་རྔ་ཡབ་ཏུ་གཤེགས་ཁར་དུས་སྙིགས་མར་བོད་ཀྱི་མི་རྣམས་རིམ་གྲོར་བཀའ་འགྱུར་ཀློག་འདོན་ལ་མི་ཐོན་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་དོན་དུ་ཡི་གེར་བཀོད་ནས་ལྷོ་བྲག་གནམ་སྐས་ཅན་དུ་སྦས་པའོ༔ ས་མ་ཡ༔ རྒྱ་རྒྱ་རྒྱ༔

Just before the Mahāguru Padmasambhava left for the southwestern land of Cāmara, he put this treasure into writing for the sake of Tibetans who would be unable to read aloud or ceremoniously recite the entire Kangyur, the Words of the Buddha, in these degenerate times. The Mahāguru then hid it in Lhodrak Namkechen. Samaya! Seal! Seal! Seal!

ཕྱིས་གུ་རུ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་དབང་ཕྱུག་གིས་གཏེར་ནས་བཏོན་ཏེ་འགྲོ་དོན་རྒྱ་ཆེན་པོ་མཛད་པ་ལགས་སོ། །མངྒ་ལཾ།། །།

Later, Guru Chökyi Wangchuk revealed this as a treasure. May it be of benefit to beings on a vast scale! Maṅgalaṃ!
