A Prayer to the Lineage of the Secret Practice of the Great Compassionate One, Natural Liberation of Suffering

ན་མོ་གུ་ར་ཝེ།

Namo gurave.

འཆི་མེད་ཐོག་མའི་མགོན་པོ་འོད་མཐའ་ཡས། །

chimé tokmé gönpo ö tayé

Amitābha, immortal and primordial protector,

སྙིང་རྗེའི་བདག་ཉིད་འཕགས་མཆོག་སྤྱན་རས་གཟིགས། །

nyingjé daknyi pakchok chenrezik

Avalokiteśvara, noble and supreme embodiment of compassion,

ཟུང་འཇུག་སྤྲུལ་པའི་རྣམ་རོལ་མཚོ་སྐྱེས་རྗེར། །

zungjuk trulpé namrol tsokyé jer

And the display of union, the emanated Lake-born Lord1

གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་དངོས་གྲུབ་རྣམ་གཉིས་སྩོལ། །

solwa deb so ngödrub nam nyi tsol

To you I pray: grant me the two types of accomplishment!

 

མཁའ་སྤྱོད་ཌཱ་ཀིའི་གཙོ་མོ་མཚོ་རྒྱལ་ཡུམ།  །

khachö daki tsomo tsogyal yum

Consort Tsogyal, queen of celestial ḍākinīs,

འཇམ་དཔལ་དབྱངས་དངོས་ཁྲི་སྲོང་ལྡེའུ་བཙན། །

jampal yang ngö trisong de’utsen

King Tri Songdetsen, Mañjuśrī in person,

ཀུན་མཁྱེན་ཆོས་རྗེ་དྲི་མེད་འོད་ཟེར་ལ། །

künkhyen chöjé drimé özer la

Drimé Özer2, Omniscient Lord of Dharma—

གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་དངོས་གྲུབ་རྣམ་གཉིས་སྩོལ། །

solwa deb so ngödrub nam nyi tsol

To you I pray: grant me the two types of accomplishment!

 

གཏེར་ཆེན་ཆོས་ཀྱི་རྒྱལ་པོ་འཇིགས་མེད་གླིང༌། །

terchen chö kyi gyalpo jikme ling

Jigme Lingpa, great treasure-revealer and Dharma King,

ཕྱག་ན་པདྨོ་རྒྱལ་བའི་མྱུ་གུའི་ཞབས། །

chak na pemo gyalwé nyugü zhab

Gyalwe Nyugu. Holder of the Lotus,3

བརྒྱུད་སྲོལ་ཀུན་འདུས་རྩ་བའི་བླ་མ་ལ། །

gyü sol kündü tsawé lama la

Root master, who embodies all lineages and traditions,

གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་དངོས་གྲུབ་རྣམ་གཉིས་སྩོལ། །

solwa deb so ngödrub nam nyi tsol

To you I pray: grant me the two types of accomplishment!

 

དེ་ལྟར་གསོལ་བ་བཏབ་པའི་བྱིན་རླབས་ཀྱིས། །

detar solwa tabpé jinlab kyi

Through the blessings of praying in this way,

ངེས་འབྱུང་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་གཉིས་རབ་རྒྱས་ཤིང༌། །

ngejung changchub sem nyi rabgyé shing

May my renunciation and bodhicitta increase,

སྨིན་གྲོལ་ཟབ་མོའི་ཐབས་མཁས་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས། །

mindrol zabmö tabkhé la ten né

And through my skill in the profound means of ripening and liberation,

ཟུང་འཇུག་འཕགས་པའི་གོ་འཕང་མྱུར་ཐོབ་ཤོག །

zungjuk pakpé gopang nyur tob shok

May I swiftly attain the state of union, the level of the Noble One.

 

ཅེས་པའང་བསམ་ཡས་རྟ་མགྲིན་གླིང་དུ་འདི་ཉིད་ཀྱི་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་དུ་ཚོགས་ཀྱི་འཁོར་ལོའི་འདུ་བ་བརྒྱ་ཕྲག་ཐལ་བ་བགྱིས་པའི་ཚེ་རིག་པ་འཛིན་པ་འཇིགས་པ་མེད་པའི་སྡེས་གང་ཤར་གསོལ་བ་བཏབ་པ་སིདྡྷིར་སྟུ། །

While turning the wheel of the feast-offering for this very same Natural Liberation of Suffering maṇḍala more than a hundred times in the Hayagrīva temple of Samye,4 I, Jigpa Mepé Dé, made this prayer of whatever came to mind. Siddhirastu!
