༄༅། །ཐུགས་རྗེ་ཆེན་པོ་སྡུག་བསྔལ་རང་གྲོལ་གྱི་སེམས་མ་བཞིའི་མངོན་རྟོགས་ནི།

The Visualization of the Four Goddesses of the Great Compassionate One, Natural Liberation of Suffering

ལས་གཞུང་གི།

After the following line in the sādhana,

ཕྱོགས་བཞིར་པདྨ་འདབ་བཞིའི་གདན་སྟེང་དུ། །

chok zhir pema dab zhi den tengdu

In the four cardinal directions, and each seated on a four-petalled lotus, are:

ཞེས་པའི་མཚམས།

Add the following:

ཤར་དུ་རྗེ་བཙུན་སྒྲོལ་མ་སྐུ་མདོག་དཀར། །

shar du jetsün drolma kudok kar

In the East is Venerable Tārā, her body white in colour.

ཕྱག་གཡས་མཆོག་སྦྱིན་ཨུཏྤལ་དཀར་པོ་དང་། །

chak yé chok jin utpal karpo dang

Her right hand is in the mudrā of supreme generosity and holds a white Utpala flower.

གཡོན་པས་མཉམ་བཞག་འཆི་མེད་ཚེ་བུམ་འཛིན། །

yönpé nyamzhak chimé tsebum dzin

Her left hand rests in the mudrā of equipoise and holds a long life vase of immortality.

ཞབས་གཉིས་སེམས་མའི་སྐྱིལ་མོ་ཀྲུང་གིས་བཞུགས། །

zhab nyi sem mé kyilmo trung gi zhuk

Her two legs are in the bodhisattva’s cross-legged posture.

ལྷོ་རུ་འོད་ཟེར་ཅན་མ་གསེར་གྱི་མདོག །

lho ru özer chen ma ser gyi dok

In the South is Mārīcī, yellow in colour.

ཞབས་གཉིས་དོར་སྟབས་ཞི་ཁྲོའི་ཉམས་དང་ལྡན། །

zhab nyi dortab zhitrö nyam dangden

Her two feet are in striding posture and her expression is semi-wrathful.

ཞལ་གཅིག་ཟུར་ཞལ་གྱེན་དུ་གཟིགས་པའི་ཚུལ། །

zhal chik zur zhal gyendu zikpé tsul

She has one face and from the corner of her eyes she looks upwards.

ཕྱག་གཉིས་ནོར་བུ་ཉི་ཟླའི་ཞགས་པ་གདེངས། །

chak nyi norbu nyidé zhakpa deng

Her two hands hold aloft a jewel and a sun and moon lasso.

ནུབ་ཏུ་ཀུ་རུ་ཀུལླེ་པད་རག་མདངས། །

nub tu kurukullé pé rak dang

In the West is magnetizing Kurukullā, ruby red in colour.

ཞལ་གཅིག་ཕྱག་བཞི་ཞབས་གཉིས་བརྐྱང་བསྐུམ་བཞུགས། །

zhal chik chak zhi zhab nyi kyangkum zhuk

She has one face and four hands, with one leg is bent and the other outstretched.

རྩ་ཕྱག་པདྨ་དམར་པོའི་མདའ་གཞུ་བཀང་། །

tsa chak pema marpö dazhu kang

Her main hands hold aloft a bow and arrow of lotus flowers,

ལྷག་མ་རྣམ་གཉིས་ལྕགས་ཀྱུ་ཞགས་པ་གདེངས། །

lhakma nam nyi chakkyu zhakpa deng

Her remaining two an iron hook and a lasso.

བྱང་དུ་ནོར་རྒྱུན་ལྷ་མོ་སྐུ་མདོག་ལྗང་། །

jang du nor gyün lhamo kudok jang

In the North is the Lady Vasudhārā, green in colour.

ཡིད་བཞིན་འདོད་པ་འཇོ་བའི་གཏེར་བུམ་སྟེང་། །

yizhin döpa jowé ter bum teng

She stands upon a wish-fulfilling treasure vase, which grants all one can wish for.

ཞལ་གཅིག་ཕྱག་གཉིས་ཞབས་གཉིས་མཉམ་སྟབས་བཞེངས། །

zhal chik chak nyi zhab nyi nyam tab zheng

She has one face, two hands, and is standing upright on her two feet.

ཕྱག་གཡས་ནོར་བུ་གཡོན་པས་ནེའུ་ལེ་འཛིན། །

chak yé norbu yönpé né'u lé dzin

Her right hand holds a jewel, her left a mongoose.

Then continue with the main text:

ཀུན་ཀྱང་རང་རང་རྒྱན་དང་ཆ་ལུགས་རྫོགས། །སོགས་གཞུང་ལྟར་རོ།། །།

kün kyang rang rang gyen dang chaluk dzok

Their ornaments and garments are perfectly complete, each in their own respective style…
