Guru Rinpoche Prayer

༄༅། །སྐལ་བཟང་འདུས་སྡེ་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་བཞེད་སྐོང་དུ་བྲིས་པ།

Prayer to Fulfil the Request of the Fortunate Assembly

ཨ་ཧོ༔

a ho

Aho!

རང་རིག་མ་བཅོས་ཁྱབ་བརྡལ༔

rangrig machö khyabdal

Sustain the natural state of uncontrived,

འོད་གསལ་སྣང་བ་ཡེ་ཤེས༔

ösal nangwa yeshe

All-pervading self-awareness,

སྤྲོས་པའི་མཐའ་བརྒྱད་བྲལ་བ༔

tröpé ta gyé dralwa

The wisdom of luminous appearance,

གནས་ལུགས་ངང་དུ་སྐྱོང་མཛོད༔

neluk ngang du kyong dzö

Free from the eight extremes of conceptual elaboration.

Ha! Ha!

ཨེ་མ་ཧོ༔

Emaho!

གཞི་དབྱིངས་རྣམ་དག་འོད་གསལ་ཕོ་བྲང་ནས༔

zhi ying namdak ösal podrang né

From the palace of the ground expanse, pure and luminous,

གཞི་སྣང་མ་འགགས་ལྷུན་གྲུབ་བཀོད་པའི་ངོམ༔

zhi nang magak lhündrub köpé ngom

As the display of the ground’s appearance, unceasing and spontaneously perfect,

གཞི་རྩ་ལ་རིག་སྟོང་པདྨ་ཐོད་ཕྲེང་རྩལ༔

zhi tsa la riktong pema tötreng tsal

Arises the ground’s expression of awareness and emptiness, Padma Tötreng Tsal.

གཞི་ཀློང་མི་འགྱུར་མཚོ་རྒྱལ་འབངས་ཉེར་ལྔ༔

zhi long mingyur tsogyal bang nyernga

And within the unchanging expanse of the ground, Lady Tsogyal and the twenty-five disciples—

རང་རིག་འདུ་བྲལ་མེད་པར་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས༔

rangrig dudral mepar solwa deb

I pray to you all, inseparable from my own awareness.

རང་སེམས་མ་བཅོས་འོད་གསལ་མངོན་གྱུར་ནས་༔

rangsem machö ösal ngöngyur né

May my own mind, uncontrived and luminous, be made manifest,

རང་བྱུང་ཡེ་ཤེས་རྟོགས་པར་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས༔

rangjung yeshe tokpar jingyi lob

And may I be blessed with the realization of naturally arisen wisdom.

རང་གནས་ཆོས་སྐུའི་གཏན་སྲིད་ཟིན་པ་དང༔

rangné chökü tensi zinpa dang

May I secure the eternal state of the dharmakāya, my own abiding nature,

འདི་ཕྱིའི་མི་མཐུན་རྒུད་པ་ཀུན་བསལ་ནས༔

di chi mitün güpa kün sal né

And having eliminated all that is unfavourable to this and future lives,

བསམ་དོན་ཆོས་བཞིན་གྲུབ་པར་མཛད་དུ་གསོལ༔

samdön chö zhin drubpar dzé du sol

May all my aspirations be fulfilled in accordance with the Dharma.

ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ་བཛྲ་གུ་རུ་པདྨ་སིདྡྷི་ཧཱུྃ༔

om ah hung benza guru pema siddhi hung

oṃ āḥ hūṃ vajra guru padma siddhi hūṃ

དེ་ལྟར་རྒྱུན་དུ་གསོལ་བ་བཏབ་ནུས་ན༔

detar gyündu solwa tab nü na

If you can pray in this way continuously,

བསམ་དོན་ཡིད་བཞིན་གྲུབ་པར་ཐེ་ཚོམ་མེད༔

samdön yizhin drubpar tetsom mé

There is no doubt that your aspirations will be fulfilled as desired.

དེ་སྐད་ཐུགས་སྲས་བསྐུལ་བ་ཟབ་ཕྱིར་དུ༔
སྐལ་བཟང་འདུས་སྟེ་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་བཞེད་སྐོང་དུ། །
མ་ནུས་སྤྲང་འཁྱམ་སུ་ཁ་བཛྲ་གྱིས། །
དགོངས་པ་མི་འགྱུར་བརྡ་ལས་བྲིས་པ་དགེ། །
དགེའོ།།

Because a request made by spiritual heirs is of profound significance,
To fulfil the wishes of the ocean of fortunate ones who have assembled,
I, the incapable wandering beggar Sukha Vajra wrote this
As a token from the changeless enlightened intention. Virtue!
May it prove virtuous!
