༄༅། །བླ་མའི་ཐུགས་སྒྲུབ་ཡིད་བཞིན་ནོར་བུའི་སྨན་མཆོད།

Amṛta Offering

For The Guru’s Heart-Practice, Wish-Fulfilling Jewel

by the Fifteenth Karmapa

འོད་མཚན་སྟོང་འབར་འཆི་མེད་ཆོས་ཀྱི་སྐུ །

ö tsen tong bar chimé chö kyi ku

To the deathless dharmakāya,¹ ablaze with thousands of luminous marks;

ངེས་པ་ལྔ་ལྡན་རྣམ་སྣང་ལོངས་སྤྱོད་རྫོགས། །

ngepa ngaden namnang longchö dzok

To the all-illuminating sambhogakāya² possessed of the five certainties;

ཨོ་རྒྱན་བླ་མ་བདེ་ཆེན་སྤྲུལ་པའི་སྐུར། །

orgyen lama dechen trulpé kur

And to the great-bliss nirmāṇakāya, Guru of Uḍḍiyāna—

སྨན་མཆོད་འབུལ་ལོ་དབང་དང་དངོས་གྲུབ་སྩོལ། །

men chö bul lo wang dang ngödrub tsol

I present this offering of amṛta: bestow the empowerments and siddhis!

བོད་འབངས་སྐྱོང་བའི་མ་གཅིག་མཚོ་རྒྱལ་ཞབས། །

bö bang kyongwé ma chik tsogyal zhab

To venerable Tsogyal, only mother who cares for the people of Tibet;

བཀའ་དྲིན་མཉམ་མེད་འཇམ་མགོན་ཁྲི་སྲོང་རྗེ། །

kadrin nyammé jam gön trisong jé

To King Tri Song, gentle protector of unmatched kindness;

གུ་རུའི་ཐུགས་སྲས་ཡེ་ཤེས་རོལ་པ་རྩལ། །

gurü tuksé yeshe rolpa tsal

And to Yeshé Rölpa Tsel, heart son of the Guru—

སྨན་མཆོད་འབུལ་ལོ་དབང་དང་དངོས་གྲུབ་སྩོལ། །

men chö bul lo wang dang ngödrub tsol

I present this offering of amṛta: bestow the empowerments and siddhis!

རིགས་ཀུན་ཁྱབ་བདག་རྡོ་རྗེ་གཟི་བརྗིད་རྩལ། །

rik künkhyab dak dorjé ziji tsal

To Dorjé Ziji Tsel,³ universal lord of all buddha families;

གཏེར་ཆེན་བླ་མ་མཆོག་གྱུར་བདེ་ཆེན་གླིང༌། །

terchen lama chokgyur dechen ling

To Chokgyur Dechen Lingpa, great treasure-revealing guru;

འཁོར་ལོའི་མགོན་པོ་པདྨ་གར་དབང་ལ། །

khorlö gönpo pema gar wang la

And to Pema Garwang,⁴ protector of the maṇḍala—

སྨན་མཆོད་འབུལ་ལོ་དབང་དང་དངོས་གྲུབ་སྩོལ། །

men chö bul lo wang dang ngödrub tsol

I present this offering of amṛta: bestow the empowerments and siddhis!

སྨོན་ལམ་ལས་སད་སྨིན་གྲོལ་བདུད་རྩིའི་མཛོད། །

mönlam lé sé mindrol dütsi dzö

To all the Dharma custodians, the succession of lineage holders—

བཀའ་བབ་ལུང་ཟིན་བསྟན་པའི་སྒྲོན་མེ་མཆོག །

kabab lung zin tenpé drönmé chok

Treasuries of ripening and liberating amṛta whose aspirations and karma are ripe;

ཆོས་བདག་བརྒྱུད་འཛིན་རིམ་པར་བྱོན་རྣམས་ལ། །

chödak gyü dzin rimpar jön nam la

Eminent beacons of the doctrine foretold in the oral transmissions—

སྨན་མཆོད་འབུལ་ལོ་དབང་དང་དངོས་གྲུབ་སྩོལ། །

men chö bul lo wang dang ngödrub tsol

I present this offering of amṛta: bestow the empowerments and siddhis!

སྙིགས་དུས་སྐྱབས་གཅིག་མཚོ་སྐྱེས་རྡོ་རྗེ་འཆང༌། །

nyikdü kyab chik tsokyé dorjé chang

To the myriad deities of the Three Roots, and all the guardians—

ཡིད་བཞིན་ནོར་བུ་བླ་མའི་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་པ། །

yizhin norbu lamé kyilkhor pa

Members of the maṇḍala of the Guru, the Wish-Fulfilling Jewel,

རབ་འབྱམས་རྩ་གསུམ་སྲུང་མར་བཅས་རྣམས་ལ། །

rabjam tsa sum sungmar ché nam la

The Lotus-Born Vajradhara, sole refuge in these degenerate times—

སྨན་མཆོད་འབུལ་ལོ་དབང་དང་དངོས་གྲུབ་སྩོལ། །

men chö bul lo wang dang ngödrub tsol

I present this offering of amṛta: bestow the empowerments and siddhis!

ཅེས་བླ་མའི་ཐུགས་སྒྲུབ་ཡིད་བཞིན་ནོར་བུའི་སྨན་མཆོད་མཚན་དོན་སྦྱར་བ་འདིའང་སྨན་སྒྲུབ་སྐབས་ཉེར་མཁོའི་ཆེད་དཔལ་ཀརྨ་པས་བྲིས།། །།

This amṛta offering for The Guru’s Heart Practice, Wish-Fulfilling Jewel that cites the masters by name was written by the glorious Karmapa out of necessity during a mendrup ceremony.⁵
