Vima Nyingtik Lineage Prayer1

om ah hung
om āḥ hūṃ
གདོད་མའི་མགོན་པོ་ཆོས་སྐུ་ཀུན་ཏུ་བཟང་། །
dömé gönpo chöku kuntuzang
Primordial protector, dharmakāya Samantabhadra;
ལྷུན་གྲུབ་ལོང་སྐུ་རིགས་ལྔ་གངས་ཆེན་མཚོ། །
lhündrub long ku rik nga gangchen tso
Glacial Lake2 and the spontaneously present saṃbhogakāyas of the five families;
རྣམ་རོལ་སངས་རྒྱས་དྲུག་ཅུ་རྩ་བཞི་དང་། །
namrol sangye drukchu tsa zhi dang
Elaborate display of sixty-four buddhas;3
རྫོགས་ཆེན་མངོན་རྫོགས་སྟོན་པ་བཅུ་གཉིས་དང་། །
dzogchen ngöndzok tönpa chunyi dang
Twelve revealers of the Great Perfection;4
རིགས་བརྒྱའི་ཁྱབ་བདག་དཔལ་ལྡན་རྡོ་རྗེ་སེམས། །
rik gyé khyabdak palden dorjé sem
Lord presiding over a hundred families, Vajrasattva:
མཁའ་ཁྱབ་རྒྱལ་བ་དགོངས་པའི་བརྒྱུད་པ་ལ། །
khakhyab gyalwa gongpé gyüpa la
Lineage of the mind-to-mind transmission of the buddhas who fill space—

སེང་གེ་དབང་ཕྱུག་རྒྱལ་བ་ཞང་སྟོན་དང་། །
sengé wangchuk gyalwa zhangtön dang
Senge Wangchuk; victorious Zhangtön;
མཁས་པ་ཉི་འབུམ་གུ་རུ་ཇོ་འབེར་ཞབས། །
khepa nyibum guru jober zhab
Learned Nyima Bum; and honored Guru Jober:
རིག་འཛིན་རྩལ་འཆང་སྙན་བརྒྱུད་བླ་མ་ལ། །
rigdzin tsal chang nyengyü lama la
Wielders of the vidyādhara’s energy, lamas of the whispered lineage—

རིག་འཛིན་རྩལ་འཆང་སྙན་བརྒྱུད་བླ་མ་ལ། །
rigdzin tsal chang nyengyü lama la

Lord of the ḍākinīs’ secret treasury, Jigme Lingpa;
རྒྱལ་བའི་མྱུ་གུ་འཇིགས་མེད་ཆོས་ཀྱི་དབང་། །
gyalwé nyugu jikme chökyi wang
Gyalwé Nyugu and Jigme Chökyi Wangpo;
ཀུན་བཟང་གདུང་འཚོབ་བསྟན་པའི་ཉི་མ་དང་། །
kunzang dungtsob tenpé nyima dang
Kuntuzangpo’s heir, Tenpai Nyima;
ངག་གི་དབང་པོ་ཙ་བའི་བླ་མ་ལ། །
ngakgi wangpo tsawé lama la
And root guru, Ngakgi Wangpo—
གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་ཐུགས་རྗེའི་སྤྱན་གྱིས་གཟིགས། །
solwa deb so tukjé chen gyi zik

དབེན་པའི་རི་སུལ་བྱང་ཆུབ་བསྒྲུབ་པ་ལ། །
wenpé ri sul changchub drubpa la
When practising toward enlightenment on remote mountain ridges,
ཆོས་བརྒྱད་རྟོག་པའི་འཁྲུལ་པ་རང་སར་ཞི། །
chö gyé tokpé trulpa rang sar zhi
May the confusion of the eight ordinary concerns subside right where it is.
འོད་གསལ་སྣང་བ་རྣམ་བཞིའི་ལམ་མཆོག་གིས། །
ösal nangwa nam zhi lam chok gi
Through the supreme path of the four visions of luminosity
ཀ་དག་ཆོས་ཟད་གདོད་མའི་ཀུན་བཟང་གི། །
kadak chö zé dömé kunzang gi
May I discover the majesty of primordial Samantabhadra—original purity in which reality falls away,
གོ་འཕང་མཆོག་བརྙེས་མཁའ་ཁྱབ་ལུས་ཅན་གྱི། །
gopang chok nyé khakhyab lüchen gyi
And may I be blessed to always bring about
རྟག་ཏུ་ཕན་བདེ་འགྲུབ་པར་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས། །
taktu pendé drubpar jingyi lob
The benefit and happiness of the beings who fill space!
ཅེས་པའང་ཚངས་སྲས་འཆི་མེད་རྡོ་རྗེས་བསྐུལ་ངོར་འོད་གསལ་རིན་ཆེན་སྙིང་པོ་པདྨ་ལས་འབྲེལ་རྩལ་གྱིས་རྟག་ར་དཀར་མདའི་སྟེང་ནས་ཡར་ངོའི་ཚེས་བཅུའི་འགྲུབ་སྦྱོར་བཟང་པོར་ཕུལ་བ་དགེ་ལེགས་འཕེལ། །
On the tenth day of the waxing moon, at Takra Karda,7 when the stars and planets were in excellent position, I, Ösal Rinchen Nyingpo, Pema Ledrel Tsel, offered this in response to Tsangsé Chimé Dorje’s request. May virtue and goodness spread!

Christina Monson explains the type of usage here: "The five buddha families are the families of Vairochana, Akṣhobhya, Ratnasambhava, Amitābha, and Amoghasiddhi. Vairochana is at the center when the five are depicted together. Glacial Lake (gangs chen tsho/gangs chen mtsho) is an epithet for Vairochana and refers to the Buddhist cosmological presentation of existence as issuing forth from the scented water that flows from the bodies of these buddhas, manifesting the pure realms and all universes. This is what can be understood as the sambhogakāya, or the enjoyment nature body, which is the wisdom manifestation of the primordial ground of enlightenment as buddhas, pure lands, and various wisdom appearances.
