སྐྱབས་འགྲོ་ནི།

Taking Refuge

སངས་རྒྱས་ཀུན་དངོས་རྩ་བའི་བླ་མ་དང་། །

sangye kün ngö tsawé lama dang

In the guru, who is all the buddhas in person,

བསླུ་མེད་གཏན་གྱི་སྐྱབས་གནས་དཀོན་མཆོག་གསུམ། །

lumé ten gyi kyabné könchok sum

Three Jewels, the unfailing, constant refuge,

ཡི་དམ་མཁའ་འགྲོ་ཆོས་སྐྱོང་ཚོགས་རྣམས་ལ། །

yidam khandro chökyong tsok nam la

And the yidams, ḍākinīs and dharmapālas,

བདག་དང་འགྲོ་ཀུན་གུས་པས་སྐྱབས་སུ་མཆི། །

dak dang dro kün güpé kyab su chi

I and all other beings devotedly take refuge.

སེམས་བསྐྱེད་ནི།

Generating Bodhicitta

འགྲོ་ཀུན་དོན་དུ་སངས་རྒྱས་ཐོབ་པར་བྱ། །

dro kün döndu sangye tobpar ja

I vow to attain Buddhahood for the sake of all.

དེ་ཕྱིར་དམ་པའི་ལྷ་ཆོས་བསྒྲུབ་པར་བགྱི། །

dechir dampé lha chö drubpar gyi

Therefore, I practice sublime, sacred Dharma.

རྫོགས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས་གོ་འཕང་མྱུར་ཐོབ་ནས། །

dzokpé sangye gopang nyur tob né

I resolve that having swiftly gained awakening,

མཐའ་ཡས་འགྲོ་བ་བསྒྲལ་བར་སེམས་བསྐྱེད་དོ། །

tayé drowa dralwar semkyé do

I shall liberate all beings, infinite in number.

གསོལ་འདེབས་ནི།

Prayer

རྩ་བརྒྱུད་བླ་མ་ཡི་དམ་ཞི་ཁྲོ་དང་། །

tsa gyü lama yidam zhitro dang

To the root and lineage gurus, peaceful and wrathful yidams,

ཕྱོགས་བཅུ་དུས་གསུམ་སངས་རྒྱས་བྱང་སེམས་དང་། །

chok chu dü sum sangye changsem dang

Buddhas and bodhisattvas of the ten directions and three times,

གནས་གསུམ་དཔའ་བོ་མཁའ་འགྲོ་ཆོས་སྐྱོང་ལ། །

né sum pawo khandro chökyong la

Vīras, ḍākinīs and dharmapālas of the three abodes,

སྙིང་ནས་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས། །

nying né solwa deb so jingyi lob

I offer heartfelt prayers: inspire me with your blessings!

ཞེས་སྐྱབས་སེམས་གསོལ་འདེབས་དད་པའི་འཇུག་ངོགས་འདི་ནི་དད་བརྩོན་ཤེས་རབ་སྙིང་རྗེ་དང་ལྡན་པའི་སློབ་བུ་བློ་བཟང་དགེ་ལེགས་ཀྱིས་བསྐུལ་ངོར་༧བྱ་བཏང་ཚོགས་དྲུག་རང་གྲོལ་གྱིས་གནས་ཆེན་གངས་རི་ནས་སྦྱར་བའོ།། །།

This text, Entrance for the Faithful: Refuge and Bodhicitta Prayers, was composed at the great sacred place of the Glacial Peak¹ by the renunciant Tsokdruk Rangdrol at the request of the faithful, diligent, wise and compassionate student Lobzang Gelek.
